Recent works A little about painting I've been painting now for 20 years and it still seems to me that the best paintings are the suprises that take off by themselfs. I don't think it really matters what you paint, but it's the way you paint it that matters. I was recently asked by a student in a letter if I thought I could acheive an expression of reality through painting? The only real true realitiy I acheive with my painting is the reality of painting itself. The expressions that are read by the eye of the artists brushstrokes and movement, the physical tactility of the work is for me the most important. The sensuality and beauty of the paint. I believe that in painting one can express different moods, feelings and emotions, but these things never work if the painting doesn't work as a painting first.
