Graphic work
From 1985 to 2010 I regulary produced editions of Lithographs and etchings at workshops in Stavanger "Grafisk Verksted" and Oslo "Grafisk Steintrykk".
Then in 2010 I started to create my own Graphic Editions using a large format professional Inkjet printer, Epson 7900.
I start by making grey and black drawings on paper. These drawings are digitalised. Then the black and white images are given colour in photoshop and stacked on top of each in layers with of varying degrees of transparency. The final image can have anything from 3 to 30 layers, it is only when all the layers come together on paper that the finished graphic print comes into existence.
By working this way I feel I am using my experiance of older graphic techniques with new digtial media.
I usually make editions of 55 prints or smaller.
My Epson 7900 pro printer uses museum inks and has 11 colours. I print solely on high quality Canson Arches papers.
